C9 - Android Cursor Alternative

Can you also add a right click?

Isn’t that what long hold does?

For some reason when i log hold on this forums on my phone using the neutron scott mouse module for tcl i cant paste not sure why… But to right click it half worked its just buggy so it didn’t actually do anything

unless you know with i cant paste in the forums…

I believe that will depend on the browser you are using. It is up to your browser to interpret that mouse’s implementation of right click.

Haven’t done a lot of testing, but here’s a version that should support copy and paste through Android’s menu. You will have to find the combination of double click and/or long hold that works for you.

This really only works in the standard cursor/pointer mode. I have set dpad center and the number 5 to both be “action keys”. Use either one to double tap or to hold. On my Android 15 emulator long hold works better; on my Android 11 emulator double tap works better. Then, hold the action key to drag/adjust your selection.

I’ll have to update the visual and duration for long hold; just hold until you see the little circle flicker and/or your text highlighted.

No this is for scrolling thru results or local groceries or settings

Next release will be all scrolling related. Will consider each of these, but primarily want to focus on general scrolling behavior.

I do think I am nearing the end of adding features, at least for the near future. I don’t want this app to get too complicated, and most of the essentials/necessities are there in my opinion. Will be focusing on polishing and testing soon.

If that’s the case, then shouldn’t the current scroll behavior cover your needs there?

I only hesitate because when we move the cursor to the edge, I have to inject that scroll somewhere, likely in the middle of the screen and away from the cursor. This assumes that the center is scrollable; I do prefer intentional scrolling wherever the cursor is?

I am using chrome from @Dev-in-the-BM made or the webview from referred by @kosherboy both don’t work

Honestly don’t make yourself nuts for this it’s not someone that’s life changing it just comes handy once in a while READ ONCE IN A WHILE

It can also be due to however the other mouse implements clicks.

Try the latest release and double click or long hold the action key.

This is driving me up the wall on how I’m able to select text with a mouse!!! This works great! The only issue I found was when I was selecting a smaller amount of letters it sometimes moves a little to quick make that part a drop slower…
While exploring I figured out you can move anything with this mouse it’s great!!! Keep it up @wheredidmysleepgo

I’ll have to test that on my end. I think it would be tied to the cursor’s speed. Maybe I can add a user setting to slow down the cursor during a long press and hold gesture to help with this. Thanks for testing and for the recording!!

@wheredidmysleepgo This topic is getting really really long. Maybe start a new one, with tthe first post containing a summary of the project status and the features it has.

One last message here before starting a new topic: @anonymousfliphones are you able to perform this?

What’s the point of starting a new topic? @FlipAdmin @wheredidmysleepgo just trying to understand

Perform what? i did notice that mouse is a little fast is there a way to slow it down while in use?
another feature can you add that if i press to drag option ex. press 2 to hold to drag and 2 again to let go

So that new people don’t have to read 200 posts to get to the current state of affairs.

Good idea basically you want that when moving something you shouldn’t need to hold the 5 down it should be a click once to activate and once to release correct?

Will create new topic tonight
