Discussion: Adding Copilot to your GroupMe SMS Conversation

i wished the same for a while. I still wish… the issue is groupme is the only free service that provides both, phone numbers you can use for your own bots, and unlimited copilot. i once set up an entire automation using my regular service plan to relay messages from approved contacts if they start with + then the python termux task would send it using my token to groupme where a bot would copilot’s response and somehow my phone got it back… whatever i don’t remember exactly but i guess its possible if you have a free device and service to spare

if anyone has knows of a service provider that never limits your messages even if you receive and send a million messages please let me know. (will definitely be cheaper then twilio and then i can run normal full scripts on it without texts being split, without emojis and hebrew being changed to ??? And without groupme deciding to stop working for sms for the next few hours…)

Or if anyone wants to open up competition with GroupMe We can give you suggestions!

my idea isn’t none sense. If there is a carrier that never flags you for too many messages, it can easily be used in a phone with high specs (or maybe even having a server do the logic if necessary) and each phone number that it gets messages from has its own account automatically, then you can add commands for ai, email, utilities and whatever. include premium features to cover costs you know… i think i’d actually do it if i have such a carrier. I’m just not ready to pay for twilio…

Can you paste the console

I tried it again and it worked this time thanks.

Are you Ktdi?

yes, got this message
“This is a test message - Please text Shalom Karr at CENSORED if you see this”

Hadn’t used it for a month… Tried to use and its not working even through the app

@Dev-in-the-BM_2.0 made a modified version of it - does his work?

Where do I find?

I stripped out all email logic, optiized it, and it responds a lot faster and reliably.

Added an option to only have it reply to prompts that start with a specific character, and to always append a specific prompt to your queries.

Those options are configurable from within the GroupMe chat.

It’s still all based off of @Shalom_Karr’s work.

Apparently GroupMe doesn’t like their sms users

@Tora_Tech that wasn’t meant to be a joke or funny

No one likes uses that’s cost money

I know look at my reply

Personally, I think GroupMe should fix up their SMS system, and start charging a subscription for it.
