Does the Fig mini have a whitelist option for texting?
How does that work for group text?
Will the whitelist persist the factory reset?
my friend bought a fig phone off someone, basically unused he tried to put his sim card but canāt get service. the phone worked for the prev owner but was idle for almost a yr. he updated to the newest update. the phone recognizes the sim and even the phone number but just shows 0 bars. his sim confirms works in other phones. he tried other peopleās sims in the phone and none of them worked.
anyone know what the issue could be?
Did you try to manually or automatically search for networks? What about a factory reset? Does Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work?
What service is he on?
both. i can try manually again, i only tested 1 of the things

koshercell service (t-mobile), but he tried other ppls sims and it made no diff
The antenna is likely broken
anything to do abt it, or its trash?
Maybe the FIG store can fix it, but I donāt know

Mabye the phone is locked (the sim is locked) see what service the owner used try to put the same one in
are some fig phones carrier locked? is this something youāve seen before
If you buy it straight from fig then itās unlocked but sometimes 3rd party people will lock it.
interesting theory. iāll see if i can find out where it was originally purchased.
It wouldāve showed you a unlock menu on screen if it was carrier locked
Also Iām pretty sure carrier locked FIG phones donāt exist right now

I know my friend recently was playing around with his fig and accidentally locked his service to verzion and he needed to call verzion for the code etc.
Even if you originally purchase it from them someone can now put it on

Even when he switched sim cards it still wouldnāt work
Will the fig get voice to text in yiddish and dose anyone know how much it costs now on the pom phone?
