I don’t like to get my hopes up, and also I feel like a beggar ![]()
I’ve been asked this about a grand total of 4-5 times in the last 2 years, so I’m not missing much.

But now I feel like a beggar using the app you spent hours (or days) on for free ![]()
I wish I could contribute too, but I don’t have too much experience programming, and no experience at all with Kotlin. At least not yet… maybe someday.
Reporting like you’ve been doing is super helpful. I appreciate it
You don’t need experience to contribute, just some common sense and AI, yapchik was entirely vibecoded
Thank you @ars18 for doing all this L’Toeles Harabim, I would sing Kol Mi Sheoskim for you, but it’s the 9 days
But you still need to know what to tell AI to do, and I have a hard time making heads or tails out of any project that has more than 1 file, let alone a whole repository.
We also can’t forget you. Now I’m really enjoying the Toameha.
It’s good it’s parve, because if not we would only be able to use it on Shabbos now, and that might make some issues…
@ars18 Now that streetview is built-in to the vela app, is that something you wanna add to the restricted verison of the app? Since I don’t think the pictures there tend to have issues.
I blocked it in restricted yes. Thought that’s what ppl would want.
Need to hear from more ppl
Why did you stop posting links to your latest releases? I’m trying to stay up to date! ![]()
You should see updates in the app
I do, but you used to post the links as well…
I will when there’s a big feature to test, but those are prs.
Can you test this?
Just installed on my phone. what are you looking for, that will help me give a useful and detailed report.
@ars18 some more stuff:
When configuring keypad buttons, the system bar pops up with a cancel option by the left key, so it gets canceled before it gets configured. B"H I have a middle button ![]()
When installing an update, the system navbar with the options to install or cancel isn’t there, but pressing the right button does allow the install.
Also, I recently started having lag and crashes; I’m not sure if it’s related to the new features or not.
You might also want to remove the search bar and layers button from the main screen while in d-pad mode the same way you removed the zoom buttons. It might make it even better for small screens. And for that price, you might as well also take away the park button and make it a menu item too. Just an idea.
About the app in general:
The update button still doesn’t work ![]()
The highlight around the check for updates button is a different size than the button itself.
It might be a good idea to make the highlighted button a second accent color (either a different shade or maybe orange or green) instead of having some things highlighted grey, and some things with a blue outline; after looking away from the screen it could be hard to noticed what’s highlighted, and with the grey highlighted switches is always hard to tell when they are highlighted.
Also, I think Claude was feeling very inclusive
Thanks. Some stuff were already fixed, some will be soon.
On TCL flip 2, just gets stuck by finding best route, just shows loading circle.
U got a filter?
@ys770
meh
Not on this phone.
Then which one
Huh?
