Whoever has a rooted e4810 now and wants to test something cool, lemme know. Not near mine now.

Native Kyocera pointer support for any app

Fun stuff. Thanks @PodLP for softkeys idea.

Unsure where else to put this.

Looking for help with supporting TWRP w/ data decryption for the E4x10
Should be simple being that most Qualcomm devices have same/similar APIs, but haven’t had the time to research properly.
PRs very much welcome.

Build instructions in README (any platform, excluding TempleOS)
TIA

on principle or practical?

This is very cool, especially since we don’t have as many recovery options as an mtk device - they I hope you can figure out how to get into recovery without an ADB command, or it kind of defeats the purpose in emergencies. Nevertheless +10 for excellent start. And request for the lazy ones among us - would you care to share the compiled images?

Building now gimme a few

Link good for 24hrs, can you upload somewhere else for others?

Untested.

@BenTorah you forgot repo sync in the readme. Otherwise everything went smooth, a lot faster then I thought it would be.

Tzaddik!

Thanks for pointing that out and thanks for the feedback.
I had tested with a few sources beforehand and must have left out sync.

Right. Will have to look into. Will take some playing around.

I’m seeing now - much of the bash dump includes instructions for auto-generating the device tree via twrpdtgen, whereas the repo should be cloned and used in its stead.
Which tree was your build based on?
The decryption modules are only included in the repo (although they’re currently not functioning properly).

twrpdtgen as you said decryption wasn’t working. Any other differences?

Whoopsies, now looking, there are a lot

My first real twrp build

One sec

Proper with your repo:

29.3mb (make sense?)

Original I made was readme verbatim, but the readme does not seem to follow your intention.

Well, it is the whole repo, but regardless, I don’t believe so (other than some display related options that won’t matter).
All the commits after the initial working concept were in attempt to support decryption.
Should be fine.

I’ve updated the README with proper instructions.

Looks good, I did it slightly different, same exact build result. Nice and functional.

I have a Kyocera E4810 that’s bootlooping endlessly. Tried putting files from Can you unlock and root Kyocera E4810? - #68 by leobuskin on SD card, and booting with that in. Seems to do something; phone will light outer LED green, but no response otherwise. Do I consider the phone “bricked” and ask @leobuskin for help?

Where are you located?
