i just rooted it succesfully 
what shoul i go about replacing aside from removing all the google apps they put on (yes this is a googled and it doean even have the stock 1.1.1 apps just google apps)

So basically, if I understand this thread, different ROM, but you can still flash it. They didn’t remove the ability to flash it. What would it cost me to get one of these?
honestly if by tuesday (im leaving back to yeshiva then) i cant figure it out all yours for cost price and shipping around 130$

The current phones are all the MQ version, while previously they were PL. The August version was PL, and the October version is MQ. The link I sent you is for an upgrade package that can be changed back to the original version.

the chip is still mt6761 but the parttion sizes have changed and therfore the old rom is incompatible

There is absolutely no change in the chip; I have repeatedly confirmed this issue with the factory

Different batches of mobile phones may have internal system upgrades, just like Apple phones sometimes update their systems. If you don't perform a factory reset, the version issue will not have any impact

thay are saying they can send me files to revert it back to the old version - still waiting on that

I’m curious, because I saw many differences in the vendor partition that can’t be explained only by software (I think).

Also, it’s not a different chipset, that’s probably what she meant.
