Previously in this forum, the command to remove the recovery partition from the Qin F21 Pro was posted. Is there a more universal method for other phones?
Unlike the Qin which has recovery in the boot partitions, most phones that I’ve dealt with have a separate recovery partition. I wonder what would happen if you erase that. If it wouldn’t break the phone, it would probably also delete fastbootd.
I just tried running fastboot erase recovery
on a TCL. When you try factory resetting from the phone or try booting into fastbootd or recovery, the phone gets into a boot loop which you can only get out of by flashing recovery back.
You should try and modifying the recovery to remove the recovery menu, I know someone that once did that for a qin boot.img not to have recovery
why do you need to delete the recovery partition if you have a rom?
You shouldn’t need to. The question was asked, so I attempted to answer it.
You are right that once you have access to fastboot, you should have a rom installed.
does anyone know if this could be done on the kyocera?
another option is to remove the mount points so it doesn’t have access to the system to factory reset
same with the cat
