Removing the Discontinued Message from Message+

Is there any way to remove the discontinued message from message+'s regular Android app?
I tried multiple ways none of them work.

block services.vma.vzw.com

Where? In manifest?

if you are rooted add this line in system/etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 services.vma.vzw.com or if you aren’t rooted use and add blocker or custom dns (like nextdns) to block it

Maybe someone can release the APK with that removed.

If your not rooted that won’t really work, for the split seconds when the phone turns on message+ will get the update needed message, which stays. (any custom dns takes a few seconds at least to turn on when a phone reboots.)

Easiest way on rooted device is through ‘hosts manager lite’ from the play store

I tried it didn’t work, or I didn’t do it right

you need to go to clear cache and data from the app

Still not working

what’s the message

oh, thats a message on the newer versions of the app, try an older version (funnily enough if you change your phone’s date to before 12/9/24 that message goes away, not practical but interesting)
