Is the sonim built in mdm a reliable filter?

I never really played with the sonim phones. I see that they have a built in mdm. Is that something that can reliably filter it? As in block Internet in all apps, APK installation, maybe video as well? And canât be reset?
it could block reset its not really an mdm its more of an app so⌠and cant block video it does come with a verizon mdm but not sure what that is doing besides getting in my wayâŚ

The Sonim Scout doesnât seem very reliable.
I set it to block an app, and sometimes there is be some time between when the app is opened and when Scout blocks it.
their cloud is very reliable its disabling the app thereâs only one loophole but i donât think somebody will figure it out as you spose to preform a factory data reset and then do some settings it shouldnât sync
There is a very easy way to bypass sonim safeguard if scout is not restricted
And even then you still have reset via recovery
thatâs what i am saying that using https://sonimcloud.com/ is better and safer

Ok I tried resetting via recovery and all the settings started the sameâŚ
I dont think the issue is with specifically the package installer app cuz it wont work from a terminal emulator either. I also tried installing a few different installer apps but none worked. Then i realized that the pesmission that all those installers come with request_install_packages was revoked and when i tried granting it via adb it said something like its not a permission type that can be changed. It looks like sonim worked very hard to make it impossible or at least very hard. I have no clue why. The funny thing ĂŹs that it still works fine to install apps via adb

Safeguard isnt safe. Ive had more then once that safeguard just stopped working and all apps were unlocked till i reactivate safeguard.
If an app doesnât have request_install_packages permission, then when it tries installing an app the package installer wonât open.
Thats not what happens on the Sonims.
If you try opening an APK, the package installer opens, and then says app not installed, which means the package installer is blocking the installation.
If you use the same apps to install an app signed by Sonim, like the Zello app for Sonim phones, it will install.
If those apps didnât have request_install_packages permission, that wouldnât work.
