Sounds like you haven’t used vpn’s.
Download a free VPN app, i would suggest proton vpn, turn it on, then use that app with the instructions for the hotspot.

Tap the blue “connect” button wait till it connects, then use and follow instructions for the hotspot app

- When you say that it doesn’t use my hotspot data, that means that it is using my normal data? 2. Is there any reason why the app is working but it isn’t showing up on any device whether I’m the WiFi direct or just Stam WiFi?

I followed all instructions in the app, and at first it showed up on a 24six but wasn’t letting me connect was saying wrong password or something like that. So I tapped restart turned it off then on and then wasn’t showing up anywhere.
Absolutely not. It uses regular data understandably.

I meant if i only have 15 gb hotspot but unlimited data
and my device has to be rooted and needs a vpn? i thought that the point of the app was that it doesnt need to be rooted or use vpn?
