I tried putting it on a kyocera duraXV, and it said the SDK is too high (I think 26 vs 25), did anyone have this issue? (I tried changing the sdk but it said cannot edit cloned app, not sure why its being recognized as cloned)
Dunno why your getting that error and i don’t know all kyocera versions. What i do know is my friend had the same issue on a old kyocera so i changed min sdk and it installed but didn’t work at all. probably same device as him…
Question, if you don’t have Google Play Services, and try to log into an account (not anonymous, AND you have webview), what happens on your device?
From YouTube policy standpoint, would YouTube do anything if he reports this?
I don’t know. These clients have existed waaaaaaay before Zemer.
It brings up a typical google sign in webview and it actually uses its own built in webview blocking links.
Yeah that was me. But the sign in for the test app I gave you just exits?
The popup that comes up acts the same when i click sign in with google then when i click cancel or back. The popup vanishes and that’s it.
The singers still get their royalties and views that person has no clue what he is talking about.
think he should get a new username
Royalties are a joke - they make pennies. I think it’s $10 for 10,000 views. They post it on YouTube for publicity, not for the money.
Are you sure they still get it when it’s listened through the app? I once researched whether YouTube embeds are counted. I think it depends on whether it’s a generic embed or a custom player, though not sure.
In order for the filter to allow YouTube links without bypassing the full domain, your app needs to opt in to trust user certificates. The filter has its own user certificate on the device, and if the app isn’t trusting it, it won’t work unless the domain is bypassed from the filter (meaning the certificate is not intercepted), which they won’t do for YouTube.
I can explain it further if needed; you can PM me.
P.S. I’m not affiliated with any filter company.
I’m petty sure they do unless they only get paid per ad played by youtube but then in that case every filter like gentech and techloq are also stealing
Need more people to try the beta…
Pm’d
Youtube has generally been very careful with this type of stuff and blocking adblockers, due to the Streisand Effect.
Explanation
The Streisand effect describes a situation where an attempt to hide, remove, or censor information results in the unintended consequence of the effort instead increasing public awareness of the information
Oh well, maybe one day there will be a flip phone fork
Can set during onboarding (first time launch) or in content settings.
Please let me know any bugs, never done anything like this before.
