MB Smart vs eGate

I’m currently using MB Smart and am thinking about switching to eGate. How do they compare? Does eGate lack anything that MB Smart has?

MB Smart

  • Supports web browsing, skin filtering, etc.
  • Remote controlled
  • Filtered App Store
  • Filters images
  • Costs monthly

eGate

  • Doesn’t really support web browsing
  • Costs one time

MBSmart is more for web browsing, shopping, etc. While eGate is more for just downloading specific apps.

Thanks. Can eGate whitelist specific URLs?

Yearly $42

No, it can’t.

Anyone knows if it’s possible to get mb smart outside a tag office?
(They won’t put it on a qin… by one specific location)

Oh, so they think better that you should have an unfiltered Qin - got it.

That’s not what I’m trying to talk about.
(They claimed that it’s not compatible)
I just want to know if there’s an alternate way to install it outside of tag.
(It’s not unfiltered btw I’m currently using egate.)

I have MB smart on my qin…

How/where did you get it?

Privately… But all I’m saying that it is compatible…

As I said…

No, they feel its better if a few people don’t filter but most will stay away from a qin. Same thing with texting in tag in Lakewood. They told me on the phone they can’t take off texting. But if a yungerman walks in they will do it. They just won’t do it for bochrim. The logic is clear.
However you could ask on the guy who got signatures against the cat and qin. Every phone could be bad, just because some are more of a smartphone they have to be banned? Most phones have a browser and could install apps and the worst could be done. So It really comes down to how easy the phone is to use. The answer is you get a filter. So whats the difference between a TCL and qin?
