1. Enable Developer Mode
- Go to Settings > About phone (at the bottom).
- Tap Build number 7 times to unlock Developer options.

-
Install the drivers found in the drivers folder (OPlusDriver_3.0.9 and UsbDk_1.0.22_x64).
On the Phone:
- Power off the phone and press Back + Power buttons simultaneously, then connect the phone to the PC.
- The tool will show several lines of text. Press Enter.
- You may need to repeatedly reconnect the phone while holding the buttons down until the process is complete.
Once the process finishes, your bootloader should be unlocked. You’ll see a message above the QIN logo when the phone starts up, confirming the unlock.
Step Two: Flashing the ROM with Root Access
1. Required Tool:
-
SP Flash Tool
-
The ROM and files I’ve prepared for flashing.

2. Prepare the Files
- Extract the files into two separate folders.
- Open the SP Flash Tool.
3. Select the Right Files
- In the SP Flash Tool, click the second “Choose” option from the three provided.
- Navigate to the extracted folder, find the “ROM + SCATTER” folder, and select the MT6761_Android_scatter.txt file.
- The tool will automatically load the boot file. Ensure only the boot file is selected.
4. Flash the ROM
- Click Download in SP Flash Tool.
- Turn off the phone and connect it to the computer. The flashing process will begin automatically.
Step Three: Install Magisk for Root Management
5. Magisk Installation
Once the flashing process is complete, power on your phone.
- Install Magisk (a root manager) to manage the root access.
Congratulations!
Your device should now be rooted!
I will add later how to add Google services and Google Play.
The bootloader unlocking guide is specifically for the Xiaomi F21 PRO, but the rooting process is for any phone with an MTK (MediaTek) processor.
