TCL Flip 2 Not Starting

I am on my rooted TCL Flip 2, with play services.

When turning on i get to this screen.

The only thing I did the last few days that may have triggered it is downloading triplesu and enabling speed up device. I also downloaded on whatsapp the option to enable voice notes transcript. The package was around 130 mb.

Anyone can help me?

Do you have a backup of your firmware? If so, reflash with the backup firmware.

In middle of doing that. I am curious to know what caused it though.

Even so, it’s probably not a firmware issue but something you did with root. Now your only option if you want to keep your data is to flash a stock boot image.
If you ever want to root it again, you’ll first have to wipe it.
This has happened to me many times.

I have one of my tcl’s that says “secure boot failure” when turning on and even when trying to enter fastboot.
Does that mean that it’s completely bricked?

Had one like that too. Was never able to revive it. Guess it’s good for parts😀

I would wait for @fliphonebochur’s opinion on that.

What model and software version is it?

My opinion is that if you can’t fix it it’s good for parts, but I would first try to fix it.
I ain’t the only expert in TCLs here. @ys770 is quite knowledgeable in the field.

If anybody has a full Rom backup would it work to flash through sp flashtool? To me that seems the only thing possible since fastboot wouldn’t work to flash empty vb stuff. Unless there is a custom recovery.
Edit: I don’t know sp but its possible just to flash vb stuff if you have a scatter without flashing full Rom am i right?

There is no brom on the TCL Flip 2 so you cant use SP Flash Tool to flash anything onto it or to make a full backup

I just installed @NotABird’s Magisk Module onto a TCL Flip 2 which has MicroG.

After rebooting my phone get’s stuck on the Tracfone screen.

Update: Now I am getting the Secure Boot Failure (I tried disabling vbmeta with the regular ones and the empty one and neither helped).

Had you ever disabled the vb partitions before?
Custom recovery?
It doesn’t work to flash the vb partitions or after flashing it doesn’t help?

I disabled the VB before.

I think I have @neutronscott’s custom recovery.

Update:
I went to recovery and pressed try again and the phone turned on. I am not sure what caused that.
This is what I did while the phone wasn’t restarting. I disabled VB using the empty one. Didn’t help. I disabled using the regular one. Didn’t help. Went to recovery pressed try again and it worked.

Have you ever granted Su permissions to Adb?

Yes.

Any reason why all my Magisk Modules are off now?
