EDIT: 5g is better- when it works… Not to be so conspiracy theorist type, but its really more of a marketing term. You wont believe the amount of times people have had issues with their cell service and the carriers fix was to recommend turning off 5g.

I am really not that type but a bit of reading will tell you all you need to know. The carriers did it to make money (obviously-good thats what they are supposed to be doing), but the way they made the money was raising their prices and overhyping features. Nobody argues on this…

You can’t be sure from that video… i don’t sell myself so fast. i’m doing pashtes - min hastam is 5G better… maybe in certain areas not, but just min hastam. but could be you are right…

The difference you’re talking about is because they now put more into their 5G infrastructure than their 4G infrastructure, not because of anything intrinsic about 5G.

The proof is that you see a difference in call quality in 5G over 4G.

There’s nothing about 5G thats supposed to give you better call quality.

I’m not saying 5G technology isn’t better than 4G.

Just that what you’re saying is that 5G has better coverage not that 5G is actually better.

Simple math:
4G < 4G + 5G

Uh, no. It just about bankrupted all of them. The real problem was that the 4G network would be unusable by now due to congestion if 5G hadn’t come along. Yes, they raised prices, but only after borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars to build out their 5G networks. Also, the higher plan prices bring much higher data caps that the 4G network could not support. If you don’t need the high data, you can get an $8/month plan from US Mobile.

The 5G network has a much lower latency than 4G, which has a lot of benefits when deploying VOIP phones over a cellular connection.

    • :cross_mark: Speed is just a little faster than LTE, sometimes even the same.

    • Used by all carriers for broad reach.

    • Example: T-Mobile’s “Extended Range 5G.”

  2. Mid-band 5G (like C-Band)

    • :balance_scale: Balance of speed and coverage — better than LTE speeds, decent range.

    • This is the real practical upgrade.

    • Becoming more widespread in 2024–2025.

  3. High-band 5G (a.k.a. mmWave)

    • :dashing_away: Crazy fast speeds — gigabit+ download.

    • :cross_mark: But horrible coverage — can’t even go through a window.

    • Only works on street corners in major cities… when the malachim allow it.

    • That is because it is trying to connect to High-band 5G over 4g even when the 5g reception is bad (e.g. your indoors).
