AT&T just announced this week that they launched their 5G Standalone Nationwide. This comes 2 days after T-Mobile (unofficially) announced that they are beginning their 4G LTE phase out in January 2026 earlier this monday. Could it be that AT&T is planning to close their 4G soon like T-Mobile? I hope not…
T-Mobile giving only till January for business customers to figure something else out is wild.
What does that mean?
If you look at the 5g coverage map tmobile is far more advanced then Verizon and at&t so I doubt they are shuting down 4g as fast as tmobile.
Basically means use can use calls, texts, data & hotspot completely over 5G, before that calls and texts were going thru 4G only (it still will if your phone can’t do VoNR (Voice over 5G) )
