Hey guys!

We are looking to create a page of “community resources” that includes discounts, promotions, good places to go for things, etc. You can contribute them by PMing the group @admins (click the ping and press the Message button) and they will be reviewed to be added to the site. You can also send guides that you want to be added to the jtechforums.org/guides page.

As always, we appreciate and thank you all for your contributions!

If someone can write me a guide (doesn’t have to be proper grammar or length, I’ll fix it all) on flashing ROMs, it’d be much appreciated. Please PM it to me so I can put it on the website. I’d like it to put under the ROMs section that I want to add.

Thanks

Tags Update

Tags now have a bit of a refresh. Hyphens have been removed on the frontend, and tags have been grouped as you can see on the Tags Page.
Please, please select all applicable tags when creating a topic. It helps others find posts.
You can also see a list of all the tags on the sidebar and click them to filter to them.

Avatar Flair System Update

Over the past few weeks, we’ve made a few changes to how avatar flairs work on the forum. With a recent update, flairs are now a built-in Discourse feature — no more relying on plugins, badges, or custom components.

:wrench: How it works:

You can now manually choose your avatar flair from your Preferences page. Simply head to your profile settings and select the flair you’d like to display next to your profile picture.

Available flairs include:

:crown: Admin
:shield: Moderator
:gem_stone: Level 4 – Diamond Member
:1st_place_medal: Level 3 – Gold Member
:2nd_place_medal: Level 2 – Silver Member
:white_check_mark: Level 1 – Verified Member
:yellow_circle: Level 0 – New User

You can also choose “none” if you’d prefer to display no flair at all.

:rocket: What’s next:

We’re working on automating this system in the near future — eventually flairs will be automatically applied and locked based on your trust level or role.

For now, it’s up to you!
