Debate it: Is it accurate to say that 99% of people don't need more than 8 GB of RAM for their Android smartphone?

You tell me without Googling anything, what’s officially the minimum for an Android 16/17 phone to be able to be certified, and why Google raised the limit from what it was before.

You forgot to quote this part. Just helping out

Oops.

My bad.

But either way

That’s why I moved the discussion elsewhere.

Feel free to ignore this topic.

It’s something I’d either way love to debate.

Thanks!

Bitcoin address?

Send anytime thanks

Of course it’s a real address

When are you sending?

You sound impatient.

Do you have a bill due soon?

Always

His Zemer VPS bill that you gained from…

I’ll do better than paying for a VPS bill once.

@ars18 do you need hardware so you can local host?

I might have an Optiplex that I can spare for you…

I have plenty of hardware. I have a self hosted instance of everything for all testing.

I don’t want it selfhosted.

Vps is 8gb RAM btw :joy:

Makes sense.

So then Bitcoin it is.

You obviously didn’t expect me to pay $1 just to give you less than a שווה פּרוטא of BTC.

I thought it was obvious that I was asking for your LNURL.

Don’t use it

Gotta stack sats

No it’s not accurate.

I don’t know and I absolutely don’t care.

Nothing to debate. I’m right. Every time. End of discussion. :joy:

Why do you love debating?

Anyway yeah, no one NEEDS more than 1 gb and no one NEEDS a phone. But if you want a phone that performs well with you being able to move around between your browser that has multiple tabs open and a few other heavy apps, you’ll want more than 8 gb.
