Tried the EXE and the manual root commands, didn’t fix the issue for me. (Its a 3/32 if that matters). I’m new to this device.
You rooted? What was the output of the commands?
Also, how do you know that this is the exact fix you need?
I am rooted, and I’ have no clue if this is the exact fix I need. I do know one thing: After upgrading to 1.1.1 from stock, my speaker didn’t work - and, unless I’m very much mistaken, this software claims to correct that issue. The output from both approaches made it seem like everything worked, except that after a reboot, there was still no sound.

@ars18 - thanks for all your work on this. Question before I rebuild and reflash ROMs. The behavior I’m seeing on my phone is a bit odd and I think inconsistent. Can you let me know if this behavior is common symptom that this solution resolves?
I have an F21 Pro (almost) working on T-Mobile in USA. The primary issue I had and have recently resolved is IMS Registration. I can now send and receive calls in addition to data on US Bands. The only thing that is not currenlty working is my telephone audio.
I flashed the A.I.V. ROM and and currently running DumberOS, which seems to be working great, except for the fact that when I make or receive a call with either wired headphones or using the phone ear speaker or loutspeaker, I cannot hear people. What is strange is that I can call and hear people via bluetooth. I can also hear music when I have wired headphones plugged in, but I cannot hear voice when I have wired headphones plugged in.
Does any of this sound like it needs the speaker fix?
I think so, but just wanted to hear your thoughts before I go messing with what has taken a long time to get up and going

Nothing at all from speaker. Only audio when connected to bluetooth (voice/media) or hardwire headphone (media only).
Then yeah. Give the guide a go.
But, as you have dumberos and want to keep it that way, ask questions before you do anything.
Are you rooted? Easiest way. Can even just temp root for this. Don’t know though how having higher Android system version will affect read/write though.
Also… Did the sound work on A.I.V ROM? I’m assuming not, but if yes, then I don’t know what the issue is.

So…this worked! Using the super you linked reactivated my speaker audio. Ii was so happy!
I did run into an issue.
For some reason this super does not allowed me to register IMS.
So, my current state is:
- Speaker working
- LTE data working
- No voice (no IMS registration)
I think I have identified that PHH Treble settings in other ROMs allow for IMS registration.
is it possible to add those IMS settings into this ROM? How would I go about doing that?

I don’t know what you flashed, unless you just mean the dumberos gsi.
I don’t really have any experience with dumberos with a SIM card installed.
I do believe your issue is discussed on the dumberos discord.
Sorry - realized I wasn’t clear about what super I flashed. I flashed the F21-pro-33.2.1 super that you linked. Audio worked great. Only issue I’m running into is that I don’t have IMS registered. Seems there is something about how the IMS registration is set up in the A.I.V ROM and LineageOS Roms that seems to successfully trigger IMS registration. Any insights greatly appreciated. Also understand you don’t have this phone to experiment with, so totally understand if not any clear answers. Thx!!
Do you have a backup of what was working before? You can just patch that to fix the speaker.
Edit: I understand now what you’re saying, but I still in general really do not recommend 33.2.1, rather to patch any existing ROM u like.
As far as ims on dumberos, I have no idea.

So you want full A.I.V ROM, no dumberos?
You can patch fully on device with root, if you don’t want to stay rooted you can unroot after.

One question out of curiosity…I noticed that most F21 supers are 4GB. I don’t think I considered that speaker fix super because it is only 2GB.
How can some supers be so much smaller than others?

Make sure you flash all not just super, unless you already did the other ones
Hmmm. Ran into an issue. Maybe I did that wrong. I flashed the updated AIV super using the command “mtk w super…”
And after flashing it just boots into fastboot mode.
Am I missing a step (or more)?
