I’d suggest just patching the smali where the launcher displays installed apps to skip over maps. No need to build anything custom

Did not work, tried patching the APK manually but could not get rid of the icon even though I removed the launcher intent.

Just gonna leave it the way it is. It doesn’t open with ifw rules placed. Good enough for me.

Ever use lawn chair as a launcher for the qin? Looks nice and works great, and it’s open source. The only thing thats annoying about it is that pressing the keypad doesn’t dial numbers

Didn’t try any other launchers because of the nightmare I figure the d-pad is.

Not dialing numbers is a pretty annoying issue.

It would probably ruin my sanity seeing as I only know basics of Android app development (if even that).

I wonder if we can use dumbdroid lineage patches for trebuchet. It works pretty nice, but android 14.

I use nova launcher on the qin. You can use the dPad and it types into the search bar.
