I just spoke to Someone from Fig

Here is what he said

Yeah so I see what he is doing is that he is copying my messages from ivelt translate it to English and posting.
He is not a official fig guy.
Maybe at some point I will try to join the forum and start posting but not yet

@FigKosher my friend got a fig with apparently a locked IMEI. He tried both TracFone and TMobile and none worked. Both of their customer service claim the IMEI is locked.

He tried calling customer support of fig multiple times but no answer.

Tac of IMEI is 35829174 (from Samsung Galaxy!?)

What can he do?

FIG uses their own IMEI, when I put it in some IMEI checkers, it comes up as “FIG”

He should go down to one of the locations, They can change the IMEI. (Or if he knows what to do he can change it himself via hidden menu *#*#1122#*#* )

Thanks!! That worked.

Now us-mobile Verizon sim worked but TracFone doesn’t work fully. I told my friend to call TracFone for that. Unless someone here know a solution

(I used a Verizon IMEI. Not sure if I need to for TracFone)

I used the mtk_switcheroo_app from another device to generate a Verizon IMEI

You can just copy an IMEI from another old phone or whatever
