Just wanted to let everyone know I was able to get my TCL flip 4058E software version QK6V ( Canada version ) rooted. Not sure where it would be appropriate to put this information so do what you will with this information. As a disclaimer this worked for me, but I cannot guarantee this is a safe method or it will work for you.

On windows 11 I had issues with installing the drivers. I came across a post where I had to disable memory integrity in core isolation settings. I would not recommend doing this on your main machine because when I tried to re enable memory integrity it wouldnā€™t allow me to. Regardless, autobooter.exe worked.

Next, the default neutron.img [v2024.06.10b] will soft brick the device. Do not use this one. I managed to get it to work with this image from the github repository issues ( IMG TCL FLIP 4058E Ā· Issue #16 Ā· neutronscott/flip2 Ā· GitHub ). This image itself its not made for the software verison QK6V, however it works with it. I havenā€™t run into any problems. Waze works, F-droid, and aurora store works. (I can not guarantee the safety of this img however neutronscott wrote that he would add it to the build sequence in 2024 ) I hope this information helps anyone else trying to root their Canadian TCL flip. I would also like to thank all the people who helped me walking me through the process of using neutronscott software.

I have no idea, but my drivers and everything as far as I know were all updated so I donā€™t know. Windows 11 is dodgy so its hard to say. Iā€™m surprised I wasnā€™t able to make it work on any of my linux machines. Iā€™m also curious if I factory reset my computer if iā€™ll still be able to use adb like is the mtk drivers just for putting it into fastboot or is it required for adb as well?

adb doesnā€™t use mtk drivers, only flashing does
