Is there any way of fixing the TCL screen without buying a new phone and replacing the outside? They keep on breaking and cheap locked for 20 phones aren’t around any more.
Check ali express or ali baba for a new screen. Though good chance your hinge and your Flex cable is broken as well as to why your screen went white. Just the parts and labor will cost more than buying a new phone.

yes that is probably the case
I have a TCL that the screen used to flash white and black, but now it’s just black. It vibrated when I plugged it in, so I know that it still works. Does anyone know where/how I can fix/get it fixed? Thanks

Had the exact same thing! And so did my brother. I think the tcl is programmed to do that when it gets old lol

Someone once told me to buy or get a diff TCL, same hardware and whatever, and there is tutorials online to switch the actual hardware from one to the other. So if anyone has bricked TCLs that the screen works but the software doesn’t, pls pm me. TCL flip 2 t408dl

okay i figured out how to remove the circuit board and replace the screen but it still is not turning on any ideas
(the phone works and i can see the screen fine with scrcpy but the physical screen is not working)
does any body know which models are compatible with each other?
Likely your flex cable is defective. Your going to have to replace it or just get a new phone assembly.
If you have a 4058(L or R ) boost mobiles tcl classic flip can be used for a body swap. They are selling for 20 bucks right now in Walmart,target,and best buy. You just have to swap out the motherboard and you practically got a new phone.

just L or R what about the entire 4058 family
As of now I think all 4058s work but I’m not sure. L and R are interchangeable and we need more data on the tracphone ones
