hi someone gave me a qin to flash us bands on and it worked to flash and write but when i put a sim in and try to make a call it says moblie network is unavailable and by apn it says apn is not available for this user ive never had this before and i saw the thread about the new hardware in the qin and im wondering if this is a new qin (the charging port is blue) im wondering if anyone ever had this and if someone can help me? thanks
Has a IMEI?
yes i put on a verizon imei
What was the build number of the device ?
33.2.7
Judging from the fact that the charging port is blue it’s probably the new Qin that can’t be flashed as of yet with US bands check the size of the super to be sure
how do i do that? and my old qin charging port is also blue so i would assume blue is old no?
Use MTK client and check what is the size of the super 3.5 is the new 4 GB is the old @dfrydman can you help?
That is not proof. The second version of the qin (speaker change) came with 33.2.1
Pull the modem is the real test
can you explain how to do that
Not fully. Pull md1img, upload it to drive, and I’ll take a look when I have time.
how do i pull md1img?
Actually, you can’t pull it, because you already flashed it. Did you take a backup before flashing US bands?
no i just flashed and rewrote
I can’t help then sorry
is there any other way of telling if its the new qin?
its not giving me the same problem as other users are getting with the new qin because its letting me do everything as normal the problem is its not letting service work
I have no idea, that could also just be because you had a global ROM installed. Dunno
whats the serail number. and whats the size of the super partition 3.5 or 4gb
you only flashed bands or did you also flash the super. assuming you didnt flash the super and it is still running the stock super - does it have an app called “remote”
do the old button combinations work to get to recovery.
these are basically most of the indicators i have found i dont know how reliable they are though
