Get Past UEFI Password

Have a PC that I need to boot into hirens boot usb to get change the password the problem is booting usb is turned off in UEFI settings and is passworded

I want to know if there is any way reset the uefi or user password

you can contact the manufacture if you have the order details

i had this issue once with a dell inspiron 15 and dell gave me the wrong password

There are some paid services not sure if they do the job or not
Sometimes shorting the pins can help (only if its an old pc)

some online tools such as https://bios-pw.org/ claim to have the password but often its wrong

If it’s not BitLocker protected (which seems likely if you’re using HBCD) clearing the CMOS should work.

How?

only works on older devices

ask your local ai

Don’t know if its bitlocker protected

ive done it on newer devices, (idk what means older by you…)

if it is hbcd wont work

i have an inspiron 15 3520 according to g.ai it cant be done

I asked my local ai!!

its a recent PC

do you care to give full details?

what model and manafactuar

note: the inspiron 15 3520 does not have a cmos exploit (yet)

taking out the cmos battery?

correct

there is no cmos battery

post cant be empty

I had the same problem with a Lenovo Yoga—it didn’t have a CMOS battery. Someone told me I needed to buy a device from AliExpress for just a few dollars that reads the BIOS chip, allowing you to wipe the password from its memory, but I never actually tried it.

win or lose…
