The only lead I see is the phone number, 646-223-5373, which a quick search says is a Manhattan number. I might be too quick to call things scams, but this website looks iffy.

If JTech is banning the expo, then they should cancel the event, delete their website and sell their domain.
I got in touch with them when they launched and said that as a non-profit, I’m unwilling to cover the cost of a chair, but it would truly be an honor for them to have such an amazing organization present. However, I am still (not even don’t give a dekel) awaiting their response.

How about a free Jtech-a-thon where members of the forums meet up? Just need a hall. If anyone has something available we can do it for chol hamoed. Sharing AI art, slop, exploits, apps, techniques and more.
