If you didn’t factory reset your phone after installing the ROM you may need to manually grant the necessary permissions to Google Play
I meant that the only place it showed up was in the accessibility list. It still does not show up in the app tray.
Regarding updating, what I meant was that when going to the list of apps in the play store that need to be updated, I see Voice access but when trying to update it fails.
It’s fine, I installed a lightweight version of it, the updates are full of extra features that aren’t needed for for flip phones (like only listening when you’re facing the phone camera, etc, which drains more battery. voice access is really made for people with disabilities who have a hard time using a touch screen, not all it’s features are needed for making flip phones easier to use). If it bothers you I could try getting an update to work.
From my little research it sounds like it is
It’s on nvram or similar
Does this have root? Can i run magisk?
No. But if you have magisk you can use the module.
you could root if you’d like
could i do it on any qulacomm device if i install magisk for example the sonim or kyocera?
They would need to have google services
can i use microg module or lite gapps module or any magish module without being rooted?
no, unless you build it in to the rom (for which you will need root)
I’m just seeing this now, and I’m really impressed! I did a bunch of work on CATs a while ago, but this guy is incredible!
@DonBot you should add a section to the website for ROMs and flashing guides
do you know if enabling gabeldorsche fixes the bluetooth issues?
what is that?
the bluetooth stack used for android 13 and up, it’s available for earlier android versions in developer options
What are the Bluetooth issues
not sure, I’ve seen some posts complaining about choppy audio, but I haven’t used the cat much so
