I have a version that does not work, but works perfectly… The app is offline… (It’s from a certain kosher phone, not even gonna say…)

So basically its useless.
But for android auto - half of a problem down… i don’t do it that way, but yes…

Added these to hosts file:
127.0.0.1. lh3.googleusercontent.com
127.0.0.1 geo0.ggpht.com
127.0.0.1. geo1.ggpht.com
It worked, but only online, aside from streetmap, I’ll have to find that link. See image below:
But, in the maps APK, images are still shown.

I think Google play store and aroura updater gets blocked from this… Not sure.

Got it! Only for maps go though. Don’t know what other Google stuff this breaks. Don’t know the top 2 are necessary but I included them anyway.
It probably won’t break Google apps, can’t say anything about the browser.

I’m using magisk systemless hosts, if you want it to be built into the ROM, add the text to /etc/hosts
