You can use the Verizon Upgrade Tool to restore.

Also, this is the stock firmware.

Thanks, How do I get the software? Do I need a working device?

Is flashing the stock firmware that you linked easier or harder?

Basic steps…?

Funnily enough, the software that comes with the device doesn’t seem to open. Try it. Change USB mode to system update after connecting to the computer and a cd drive will pop up.

If it’s not working, search for standalone vz upgrade tool online.

Just so you know though, it will relock the bl.

Device doesnt boot up so I cant access USB options…

@leobuskin

Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you, been real busy, but here’s a perfect candidate to perform a restore on.

Well… Not perfect. If fastboot can still be accessed…

Can you get to fastboot?

If yes, we can flash. Download the firmware from the link I provided.

And, if this works, you’d get to root if you want

You also have a unique opportunity to pull the eng aboot that allows unlock in the first place if you do this right.

I guess it got scared going under the knife (of an amateur). Suddenly after an hour of button mashing and swapping batteries, it decides to boot up like normal. (and as suspected, it has Techloq/Purifone filter)

If you’re willing to work with me, we can provide the unlock for everyone, IF vz upgrade tool will recognize a purifone phone.

I doubt you can choose system update on a purifone phone… Wish you were still in that menu :frowning:

This is what we need @leobuskin for. I think he can get it into any mode…

Check out this thread:

I just gotta say, I’m happy that you’re happy, but it kills me that you booted it up again :frowning:

I have a techloq purifone kyocera cadence which is unusable, would love to reflash it

Unusable how?

In the few months I used it, I had message+ just randomly uninstall temporary and lost some messages, then a month later the dailer uninstalled and that didn’t get fixed by itself so I went to TAG and they told me to reset it…(wow) but the main reason is that a tap on the phone causes the phone to restart. Then one time for about 14 hours I couldn’t see missed calls or receive text messages… anyway you see what I mean. I regret going to TAG instead of geder (which I think doesn’t flash it). Only reason I went to TAG is because I liked their sticker more… but it ruined my phone :frowning:

Oh I didn’t see that you wrote cadence… I know nothing about that phone.

Ouch…

@ars18 what does that link lead to?

Let’s resume this avenue.

@Flippy still got that device handy?

Not that specific one, but I have others if you want me to test something (that won’t risk killing it)

Perfect. Yes - should be completely safe. Read-only operations.
