I have some apps on my phone that I don’t want running unless I am actively in them. The reason for this is I want the ram saved for the apps I use often such as phone and messages to load faster.
How can I make it that the second I leave the app it stops running. I disabled background activity under battery and it still seems to be running.

You can use any about any email app but you have to use an app password not your regular password. There’s a thread somewhere on the forum that talks about DPAD compatible apps.
There’s an option in developer settings to kill apps when not in foreground, IIRC

very cool and now I have to ask: Why do coupon code sites not do that- and instead rely on either nothing or fake screenshots that don’t actually reflect the discount they are offering? Do they just make enough money from the click that they don’t care that anything should actually work?
Honestly don’t know. I’m using undocumented CT api endpoints for a lot of the functionality.
