It’s interesting how a damaged drive freezes up the whole Windows, I’ve had times I was only able to recover files using a Linux system because Windows just freezes when trying to do anything with the drive (or in your case just by being connected)

A long time ago I bought some fake Jelly Pro devices with the intention of making them kosher. In the end the plans didn’t work out so I gave one to a friend and I started using them as a player.
And here the story begins:
Apparently there is a virus inside the system with some clear symptoms:
1. Can unlock the screen when it feels like it
2. Lowers my volume to 0 when it feels like it
3. In the past it would stop the song for me (nowadays it doesn’t - it just lowers it to 0, and believe me, that’s really annoying when you’re in the middle of jamming with a good song and you won’t stop in the middle of the set…)
4. Opens tabs in Chrome with tabs of advertisements (usually the same types)
5. Closes Chrome and a few other apps in the background (for example, when I hear a song, it closes the app for me but leaves the second process of the player running)
6. My friend has Facebook and the language changes there to Chinese
7. There’s a chance I forgot something
The symptoms also exist on a reset device but only work when there’s a network, apparently.
My device was rooted in the past, but no unknown app was given access (I did give Lucky Patcher access), but my friend’s was never rooted. As mentioned, these are problems that my friend and I have together. It’s not that we went to questionable websites, and as mentioned, it also exists on a reset device (via the recovery and the cache partition from there.)

OSINT nerd Harrris0n has created “Firehound”. He (or others, I don’t know) have begun the daunting task of hunting AI slop in the Apple app store.
They have identified (as of this writing) 198 iOS apps which leak information on users (in some capacity). Unsurprisingly, the top are all related to AI.
The top currently leaking user data is “Chat & Ask AI by Codeway” which has exposed 18M users information including:
- Name
- Creation date
- Messages (sent, received, content, etc)
- Voice chats
… anything you’ve said to this AI agent is exposed. It is 400,000,000+ messages… (Image 1, redacted)
Next up up on the slop-o-meter is “YPT - Study Group” which currently exposes over 2M users information including:
- AI tokens
- User ID
- User Key
- Chats (sent, received, content
This is all AI slop for things under education, entertainment, graphic design, health and fitness, “lifestyle”, social networking, and more.
Some of the stuff is present is absurd. Harrris0n notes the presence of people doing CSAM (child pornography) related things with the AI agents. (tl;dr pedophiles identifying information currently leaking online) … as well as “LooksMaxxing” stuff (???).
It’s an infinite blackhole of user personable identifiable information, beside just names, emails, etc, but also their personal conversations with AI agents.
It’s the slopocalypse.

Year 2038 problem
I’m terrible at writing articles so I won’t try.
All I’ll say is research this. It’s cool!!
Basically the idea is that there are 32 bit ints and 64 bit ints. Most regular systems can just update like the Linux kernel which already did in 5.6 but on many systems (including mysql) timestamps use 32 bit integers. Now that’s a limited size and timestamps after Jan 19 2038 will be larger then the Max which will cause it to loop back to negative. (because ints are stored in bits where the biggest number is 0 followed by 31 1’s. If the number is larger, the first 0 is changed to 1 which translates to negative.)
so again most systems can and will or did update but older systems can have serious issues like embedded systems compiled once and never touched, chips in cars for airbags etc, maybe certain old file formats (i think ext3 and lower).
y2k was software only. Was able to be updated with much work. This is kernel level software which has to be recompiled and updated while software can probably stay the same and probably many hardware chips will have to be replaced.

Windows 11 had 20+ major update problems in 2025 and and 2026 started badly too. What are you doing, Microsoft?
Windows switched from a blue screen of death to a black screen of death… So many problems this year that they had to do a UI update…

I can’t even count the amount of times I told people to “turn their phone off and back on” (First step of troubleshooting and they asked me , “How?” And I say, “Google it”. So I gotta thank them for that article. We can all sit and bash Microsoft for being horrible, but not Apple and Samsung for burying shutdown in a menu. And making the Power key into an AI button, forcing it down our throats, but no one bashes them about it. Only when Microsoft puts a button on our keyboard they get trashed, and they are not replacing the entire power button. And let’s not even start with Apple’s “privacy and security” features. Worse than Microsoft being addicted to those annoying “Do you want to allow this app?” is Apples scam security features. If you want for example, Any desk, you have to dig into the settings to allow each of these permissions instead of just saying “YES”…

They’re not telling you that restarting can fix problems, they’re assuming you already knew that.
They’re coming to tell you how to turn it off.
I don’t think there’s anyone reading that article who doesn’t already know how to turn their phone off.
Explanation: People don’t know how to turn their phone off. And I am talking about the people that own these phones for years, not me0who doesn’t have a smartphone, just has to fix other people’s.
And I have to admit, when I first picked up someone iPhone after the update, and I tried turning it off by holding down the power button but instead, you got this annoying Siri pop-up, what I did was probably ask Siri how to turn off an iPhone, and what Siri probably did was pull up the article. (Obviously because Siri has no clue how to do anything except Google articles)

Okay, it looks like I was a bit out of the loop.
Crazy.
I can’t talk for iPhone, but the difference between Gemini and Copilot is that Gemini is a good LLM, and was integrated well into Android and the apps it was added to.
Copilot is a bad LLM wrapper, isn’t well integrated into anything, just stuffed into where it doesn’t belong without even being useful, so when Microsoft makes a dedicated Copilot key when people already have a bad experience with Copilot, it just gets them upset.

Yes, I definitely agree. It’s nasty of them to force garbage into our start menus on our desktop and on our keyboard. But like, I also have to say I don’t hate Copilot. I use Microsoft Edge. It opens in Sidebar. It’s relevant to the tabs I have open. It’s everything that everybody loves about Comet Browser, just with a slightly dumber (FREE) AI. Yes, they forced this garbage on me- and yes I took it because it’s easier than resisting. Like I can go fight and uninstall it and then they’ll just put it back with the next update. I give up Microsoft, you win. (But I do remove all their garbage ads and homepage stuff that I really don’t want to see)
