The United States government bought the domain aliens.gov.

And they use CloudFlare…

Ready for a day in the life?

A client that we will be onboarding

Domain 1 Google Workspace (Squarespace Google reseller) NS is Cloudflare

Domain 2 Google Workspace (Wix) DNS and hosting on Wix

Doamin 3 Google Workspace (Squarespace) No Website

Domain 4 Microsoft Direct, domain Godaddy, NS Cloudflare, Hosting Digital Ocean

Domain 5 Microsoft under GoDaddy

All Users have separate emails on all domains and can be different spellings (Example [email protected], and [email protected]).

There are google groups on a few domains tha are shared externally.

They just got a new Parent domain that they want to consolidate with all others. This will be under Microsoft and they will use this domain going forward but they will still send from all old ones, so we need to migrate all inboxes to the new Microsoft tenant, set up all aliases and all spelling that they ever used for each.

We first need to move over all domains to Cloudflare and make sure tha all dns records are correct, and also lower the TTL on the MX records so when we update them, it should go quickly.

We also need to bring in all domains into the new Microsoft Account, and verify them.

Customer wants no downtime for this.

This will be a mess to take care of…

Wish me luck

what is that

obsidian is essentialy a notepad app, but with a flavor of markdown that, if used properly can trace patterns in your brain over time etc. pretty powerfull.

in my humble opinion, the community around it is a little “cookoo” :squinting_face_with_tongue:

the tool is suppoesed to take your export and apply the “markdown” for you

Update: I started onboarding the domains to Cloudflare. It is a little complicated because they are all in separate accounts and separate registrars.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I have the app installed both on Android and on Linux. It’s a great markdown writer. I might be totally out of it but I didn’t know there’s a community it those fancy extra features. I think it’s a decent useful app.i don’t think I’m cookoo.

Actually I do. I am cookoo. But not for this reason.

I do that with paywalled websites a lot to view content

Weird. I don’t think I ever told Claude about jtech yet the first place it crawled when I asked for info about the TCL is jtech!

Copilot does too

LOL, TechRadar decided that the only reason someone would want the Clicks Communicator is because Apple messed up the iPhones keyboard in iOs 26.

Talk about living in a bubble.

Update: most domains are already in Cloudflare, I still do not have access to 2 accounts but hope to get it this week.

I was also able to get Wix to update name servers for one of the domains. Officially they say that they can’t.

At least this is in the “exclusive” category…

Microsoft is pivoting away from web apps and looking to build native apps. Currently many apps are web apps and uses much more RAM.

Copilot, outlook, clickchamp etc.

NASA’s Mission Control had to remotely access the Artemis II spacecraft’s PC after the “New Outlook” bugged out during launch. Ground crews were forced to provide orbital tech support to fix the double-app installation error mid-flight.

:joy::joy::joy:
