Reset Password on CAT S22

I forgot the password to cat s22

Can I either remove it or factory reset the password

  1. Power off the phone completely.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button at the same time.
  3. Release both buttons when the CAT logo appears on the screen.
  4. If you see the Android robot with “No command”, hold down the Power button, tap Volume Up once, then release both.
  5. In the Recovery Menu, use the Volume Down button to scroll to “Wipe data/factory reset”.
  6. Press the Power button to select it.
  7. Scroll down to “Factory data reset” with Volume Down and press Power to confirm.
  8. Once the reset finishes, select “Reboot system now” using the Power button.

Keep in Mind this will reset the phone to factory settings
(That is bringing the phone back to as if you just got it no files/contacts etc.)

Could also run into FRP if it was enabled

i am yet to see a flip phone with frp

Cause there are almost zero flip phones with google play services

FRP is part of google play services

that’s incorrect:

while frp does require google play/spy services some flip phones with google play service (such as the qin) do not have frp (pretty sure the non kosher ones do not have frp)

Yes obviously it could be their blocking it

It also requires your phone to be registered to a google account

whatever the case i am yet to see a flip phone (besides the Samsung z series) that has frp

Well the CAT S22 has it (and CAT F125 probably too)

Schok flip phones have it, but because they run a customized AOSP, its not able to enforce it at setup

Nah that’s a smartphone that can flip closed

if needed i can post a whole thread on bypassing frp through google maps calling 999 etc.

I had to find a way to bypass frp myself once, thankfully it was android 5.1.1

ive had a cat with a frp lock, Though you can use the offline hack to get around it (Back clicking a bunch of times )

All you have to do for a CAT S22 to get out of google frp is get to settings apps and disable play services and then run the regular setup then re-enable Play services
