@ars18 when you built this ROM, how did you deal with platform signature matching for priv-apps (e.g. settings)? If I want to replace or mod /system_ext/priv-app/MtkSystemUI/MtkSystemUI.apk is the fact that it will not be signed with platform keys going to be an issue? I tried replacing 6.1.3 systemUI with the one from AIV rom because that one supports hotspot tile - but the app wouldn’t start (weird experience using android without system ui, somehow broke adb as well). Thankfully, was able to restore in a couple seconds using my backup apk and fx - didn’t have to reflash - but point is, am I correct in assuming this is a signature issue, or might it just be that the apk is incompatible with the ROM for other reasons. If it is signature - is there a better way to do this than LSposed/CorePatch? And if not - I guess I would have to decompile both apps and look at the differences, and then modify 613 system ui to support hotspot tile. Bottom line - and sorry for the megillah - what’s your take (and anyone else who can offer insight)?

Very possible it’s just some compatibility issue.
Tbh, I’m not the one that modified the system apks in this ROM, maybe @TripleU can help.
As far as resigning the ROM, that can be done, but it will break you 
Rather edit the existing settings apk.
