Rooting a CAT S22 Flip

I have a cat s22 that I need rooted normally I would just try it myself and figure it out this one has a lot of information on it and I can’t risk losing that info so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it thank you

To be smart I would back up everything, whatever you do.

  • fastboot flashing unlock
  • confirm
  • flash empty vbmeta with this command:
    fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img
  • fastboot flash patchedboot.img
  • done.

I said how you get root. but once the bootloader is unlocked - you can flash the super…

Do you mean to say that there isn’t a specific patched boot for the Cat?

patched vbmeta. patched boot for the cat you do it in the magisk manager app. patch it with the new v29

did you mess up ? is it really fastboot flash boot patchedboot.img?!

Unlocking the bootloader will prob erase everything on your phone.

I flashed a patched boot image onto my Cat. My cat has @NotABird’s kitty custom ROM.

Now when turning it on I get the Cat screen and then the screen goes black.

Update: It was an issue with the boot image, now it’s working.
