To enter edl:
adb reboot edl
Connect to pc and open device manager. If the phone comes up as anything but 9008, you’ve got the wrong driver.
Also, read the docs for bkerlers edl. There is a also a tool zadig that can help you get the correct drivers.
Linux is an option here too, to avoid messing with driver setup.
