So, I have this issue where I set the brightness to low on my phone, and now the backlight isn’t coming on.
I have a modded ROM installed from Fliphone Bochur with the ability to install apks, and the adb debug apk installed, and I changed a few other things about it. I had the phone set up, and I had been using it for about 12 months now, without touching it because it was set the way I wanted it. It had the Magisk root manager, and a cursor module. This is relevant because that’s how I messed up the display
Something interesting about this phone, is that with the cursor, you can click and drag from the top of the screen, and it will pull down the default android quick settings. I used that to change the brightness, instead of the manufacturer settings app. I turned the brightness all the way down, and because of this, I have now a screen that won’t turn on.
Between now, and when I set up my phone, I migrated from windows to Linux, and haven’t messed with ADB at all. So, none of my devices are authorized by my phone to access ADB and use the shell to set the brightness. And, I had it set so that the display resolution would be higher. this effectively made the default launcher menu a 4x4 grid as opposed to a 3x3 grid. This means I cannot follow a video and blindly navigate to settings to change the brightness.
I have no clue what to do, so any help would be appreciated. whether it’s instructions on how to blindly navigate, or the resources for how to factory reset my phone, that would be great, since I haven’t been on this forum in a while.
