I’m trying to figure out which filter would be best for a Windows laptop
I’m looking for a filter that’s not extremely strict meaning let’s access to most things but yet blocks out inappropriate pictures and obviously inappropriate sites but things that are neutral like YouTube and other things I do not want blocked
If anyone here is familiar with any of these filters and which one would be better please help me
Yes but it seems like it’s a lot stricter it doesn’t have as many options to make it less strict
I think TechLoq is easier to manage but they don’t give you access to tools to view logs of what its filtering. GenTech is more flexible and allows you to view the logs but is much more complicated to manage.
What do you mean to view logs of what they’re filtering?
Teckloq blocks WSL and WSA which is extremely annoying if you are trying to do anything android related, im thinking about switcking over to gentech becuse it blockd WSL and WSA
At the end of the day is there One that’s really better than other? Are they both the same price?
techloq is cheaper
How do Meshimer and Geder compare to TechloQ and GenTech?
They use the same filter engine as gentech
It just a matter of having being under a Kehilla (satmer)
When you say netfree is best and most advanced, wdym by that?
Nothing gets past it.
GenTech, TechloQ, Geder, and Meshimer, are all using Livigents filtering engine.
The only filters that I know of that don’t are NetFree and NativUS.
so techloq and gentech are the same?
Same mechanism via livigent to filter.
But with different policies and rules.
The filtering engine is the same.
The actual filtering isn’t exactly the same, probably based on how they use Livigent’s API’s.
Afaik Techloq does not use livigent
And btw nativ was bought by Gentech
When?
Is it still running its own filtering engine?
I have a lot of experience with this, and overall I am very happy with Techloq.
There isn’t a single filter that I’m happy with.
I like the way NetFree filters pictures and Reddit, but overall they’re a bit too strict for me.
There’s also no reason for them to be screening images manually when there’s for sure AI that could do it with the same accuracy.
But between NetFree being too strict and all other being too loose, I’d prefer NetFree’s strictness.
I like netfree cuz when something is blocked I know that I don’t wanna see what it is whereas the other filters if something is blocked it’s because of your settings - not necessarily meaning that it’s bad content
Also what you say about manually screening the images with AI, nothing can compare to human screening, I’ve seen quite a few things that AI has missed when doing the screening
