I was also able to sign into my Google account and back up my entire device through google backup… I was also able to use Google app (not browser). Good thing is that now my calendar and contacts are synced to my Google account.
Here are a few pictures of the update.

I wonder if they still have my phone number saved…

I am assuming that they will update it to remove the options.

lol can u lmk how to get to android auto permissions? i want to be able to send a text from assistant in the car

Nah, last time I found a bug I got a response within minutes.
I have GOOGLE SEARCH on the keyphone!

It is actually a really simple bug for them to fix, I think.

Edit: they patched it already.

They probably put it on for android auto and assistant to work. They just need to block access to the app from the phone.
Though I’m not sure how kosher assistant is.

It is not available to open in the launcher. There is a bug that allows me to launch it.

Here is a picture of the Keyphone backuo app.

Very important to post it on a public forum…

So you agree and you leave it?

#Yellow Key and #Blue Hammer

They released an update earlier that patches one method of accessing Google.

It does seem that Google sync is intentional, on Ivelt I saw people discussing it.
I wonder if Google sync is supposed to be for beta testers only or all users.

They started sending cringey emails.
I know that they are targeting the broader community, but I think that 80% of the people that got it are Jewish.

I think that we need an outsiders perspective on this email.

The emails are marketing, not a service that you get for buying the Keyphone.

If they’re trying to market to the general dumbphone market, then their emails should talk to them, not to their frum customers.

I agree 100%.

Just two points they are sending the email the people that bought the phone from them, and that is mostly Jewish.

Secondly I wrote

I want to hear what someone else that is not Jewish has to say about this. I wonder if they find this cringe.

I am Jewish, and I find them just a little cringe- (does that make me less Jewish?) And very similar to other big companies that do this. Lightphone etc

It’s called marketing speak.

LinkIn talk.

Big deal, get over it.

Anyways, their emails are all AI slop, not worth getting excited over.

Their email this morning about Android Auto.
Notice how they are daring people to open maps on the phone…
