How were you ever able to access the lock screen?
Now I remember seeing it a few times, but dont think I was ever able to force it…
DISCLAIMER: This was already patched, no harm in sharing it at this point.
It used to happen randomly, then forcing launcher to close or clear storage forced it to lock screen most of the time. On the lock screen I was able to either do a screen record and select an app like google and I was able to search. Or I was able to go to security settings and select anything that was from Google Play and select a word and select “Search” that also opened a browser. You can then search for anything but cant go into websites. But with the Google AI, I can request a youtube video and it would play it.
They blocked launcher from closing and that fixed it for most people. But I had already added a lock screen password. So my phone was able to get to a lock screen by rebooting the phone. Now with this update they made that I cant pull down the menu on the lock screen.
This is the end of an era.

When they released the search, I was able to open html files, and that allowed me to access many settings on the phone, including becoming a developer.
This was done by creating an html file with intent links to specific settings. I tired it now with google search but it did not work. It also does not work with pdf’s.
I am sharing this because this was patched a while ago already.

There was also an update today that fixed another bug that I told them about. Long pressing a file or folder and dragging and holding it to the left triggered the original files app to pup out for a second.

Nah, this happens if you nap for too long on shabbos and can’t fall asleep at night. These are all bugs that could have been easily discovered with just a bit of time. I wouldn’t say no to a badge though.
I did cause Keyphone at least some stress…
Technically this should have been discovered by beta testers. I don’t want to be a beta tester though, it is more fun to find bugs in production.
I really don’t understand what the issue is though, they are not targeting Jews so why are they so worried about google search?..
Yes, these are the type of bugs that, even if they hire someone, they wouldn’t find it. Professionals would get all “MTK-client” whatever before looking for something as simple as this. That’s why I’m impressed.
They are targeting Jews. They just don’t have to make them their main audience. They’re trying to appeal to the general public because that’s where you make more money. If it catches on as a trend, it could be way bigger than the other kosher phones…

Anybody know where I can get a screen replacement for a Keyphone?
Is it only through them?
I had them ship it to me, and I fixed it myself, they even sent along a small keyphone screw driver (had the logo on it 
) and instructions on how to do it, it was very easy.

they didn’t send along, but no adhesive or glue is needed, it’s perfectly fine with screws only
Looks like they send along the entire front not just the screen.
I found another method to access my Google account. I don’t have search or YouTube. Just my Google settings.

I really cant do much with this info other then reading through Google’s help and watching some videos from their help section.
I am also not sure if I was only able to access it because I was already logged in, or if everyone else can also do it. It is also a complicated process to access it in the first place.
