No. I usually type from gboard on a qin f25 that isnโt bootloopingโฆ
installing any dialer other than stock will probably bootloop for the same reason itโs currently doing so.

Complicated. Got used to it cuz itโs the only one that works in termux. And on one of my xp5800s the right dpad button doesnโt work so canโt scroll through options so i made down be to go to next option in tt9. Whatever.

Didnโt try yet cuz i highly doubt it would work. Maybe iโll try soon. itโs not just like opening a file manager and replacing. Meanwhile i tried a lot of easy stuff and all failed including flashing from zip (requires signed zip). Will probably have to read with mtk and mount and change the apk and repack and flash
I never used twrp. I wanna boot twrp from fastboot. All I need is unauthorized adb access. Android 14 mt6768 kernel 5.10. Wonโt be flashing twrp so doesnโt have to be for sure compatible.
Anyone here know where I can find generic twrp that work across different devices and might work on this phone? twrp.me?
Another question, is there any chance that flashing system_ext from stock can make booting issues if the firmware I have is highly modified? @ars18

Not sure if you realize the situation. The phone doesnโt turn on at all. Having the app helps if I can get adb which I canโt. Iโll have to get adb via twrp or flash possibly incompatible system_ext or extract system_ext from my phone with mtkclient with a computer which I donโt have now.

the stupidity I did
i took a modified Google dialer (phone) app meant for qin f21 (android 11) and replaced my dialer app in system_ext/priv-app with that one - yeah I know really stupid. Was tiredโฆ I didnโt backup anything at all
outcome of stupidity
the phone boots till the last loading screen (part2 in bootanimation that goes again and again till ready to boot), loads for really long till it reboots to the recovery that says Iโll have to factory reset with 2 options: try again an factory data reset.
why and how to fix
this section is just my assumptions.
I doubt itโs signature stuff Cuz I messed with different system apps with no issue. Probably just oat not compatibl or just the app itself not being compatibl and the system checks some basics about system apps before finishing boot.
So I basically have to get back the old app there. How? Thatโs the work
what I tried
- I tried adb while booting and in that recovery screen and in both, adb works but my host is unauthorized. Tried patching boot.img by injecting my adb keys + setting secure to 0 but still showed unauthorized.
- Mtkclient: need a laptop for that. Donโt have 1 now. (not working in Termux - dependency issues)
- twrp I donโt have 1 that can work on my phone.

I checked on an Mitmachim since this is a popular phone in israel and doesnโt work at all in the USA to see if someone can share firmware. Someone sent me the app.
on the forums thereโs a link to download the full stock firmware. Iโd do that if I knew flashing stock system_ext on a device thatโs highly modified wonโt make issues.
