heres what i did so far. i added adbd to the boot image to get adb access (that was harder than it sounds because there no partiton table) now im having a hard time getting root. i tried using supersu and addign it to the boot image and it got stuck on the boot logo.
update (innioasis mp3 player)- i used mtk-su to flash a patched magisk boot image then i used claude to copy from a diferent device all the magisk binaries/scripts for using modules and then i manually placed a bootloop protection module and a module to place 24six in system and it worked. ALL WITH A LOCKED BOOTLOADER go figure these chinese people
normall yes at least on android 9 and above but this is android 8.1 so it only check dv-verity for the system and vendor partition. at least this device is like that not sure if that is standard android 8.1. @TripleU know anything about this
update (timmkoo q3e) i was able to use mtkclient to overwrite the sytstem image directly (write offset) using the system image from rom_q5_q3e_2020-2024 – T-ROM and that worked for most issues. pm me if you have this device and want more info
I have the timmkoo, I ended up going with Manufactory OS which is Android 5, I flashed it with SP Flash tool, super quick and easy. Btw what android version is T-ROM? I’ve been meaning to try that for a while
A few months i bought one called zaqe. mtk client, sp and the rest worked well. Made a kosher Rom and Was gonna sell it but never got around to fix 2 bugs. Its a decent piece aside for the fact that 4 inch screen makes it look a drop like smartphone but in general i would recommend.
on mine sp flash tool doesnt work. and i noticed that all the scatters files online have differnt partition locations as my device. i think i have a newer version
