I tried pluging a USB into a Android device using a c to USB adapter. The USB didn’t show up on a file manager. Is there any way to get it working?

@ars18 it seems like there are magisk modules to enable USB otg. Any you recommend?

Just tried on the qin it worked and usb otg file explorer worked. Still looking for away to enable USB otg on the tcl, if anyone knows of away…

Probably not possible, its a hardware thing.

The USB port has to support USB OTG, and most flip phone’s C port don’t support it.

Wouldn’t be the port it would be the kernel which most probably is the problem though I am in middle of trying the guide on xda just in case its a permission issue

Do you think it makes sense the c port could export tons of data put cant import? Its something deeper…

I know that its a fact that there’s such a thing as a port’s hardware itself not supporting USB OTG.

Not because I understand why, but because it’s been said by people who understand these stuff better than anyone in this community.
