I’m considering integrating eGate as an xposed module, because of some really interesting things that could be done. But my question is, how many phones that it gets installed on are rooted and have xposed installed?

Would you block installing new modules (magisk and LSposed)? Block granting root to new apps?

Block access to the Magisk and Lposed apps, at least.
