I have WhatsApp on my TCL Flip Go, but I leave it running in the background, but sometimes I get apps, sometimes I don’t. When I have the screen off, I never get notifications. How do I make sure I always get notifications when someone sends me messages?

When the phone is closed will you get the notification when you open it ecentually or it get’s lost?
I had WhatsApp on there and I don’t remember running into issues that the notifications get lost. Though I did have play services and got whatsapp from the play store which may have helped out.

Aha. So that may have happened to me as well, I don’t remember.
Do you know how to solve it?
I mean, when I turn it on I get a WhatsApp notification that says “checking for new messages.”
Systemize it. Non system apps cant run in the background (on some battery/performance optimized phones like the TCL, Qin, many flip phones, etc.)
