Google Jules is like ChatGPT Codex.

It does it’s work in a VM in the cloud.

So when it tells me that I can access the webpage it just edited at http://localhost:8000, it’s like any other person telling me that I can access the webpage they just edited at http://localhost:8000.

This is ridiculous, it asked me to check it’s edits at http://localhost:8000 another 5 times since then.

And it keeps telling me that it’s taking screenshots as part of its quality control process, to “make sure that the animations are working correctly”.

I was trying to install something on Ubuntu, and was running into problems because it had a dependency that wasn’t available for the version of Ubuntu that I’m on, 25.04, codename Plucky Puffin.

I pasted the output from my terminal into Gemini, and it decided that the problem was that my system has my version set as Plucky Puffin, which it decided isn’t a real release, and I should change it to Noble Numbat.

Guess how much damage that would’ve done to my system if I would’ve listened?
