It also has an ADB logcat capture feature to help with troubleshooting.
We removed the WhatsApp channel/community/AI blocking from the accessibility filter, as there was no path to getting it to work properly. We are exploring other options in the future.
Apps in the eGate app store:
Termux - Terminal emulator and Linux environment
Image Toolbox - Image editor
Home Assistant - Home Assistant
Smart AutoClicker - Automate repetitive tasks
Simple Mobile Tools Gallery - A premium app for managing and editing your photos, videos, GIFs
Simple Mobile Tools Calendar - A simple calendar with events, customizable widgets and no ads
Futo Keyboard - Modern offline android keyboard
Florisboard - Keyboard with glide typing
Magisk - Magisk root manager
SMS Import/Export - SMS Import/Export
LoveLaceAV - Android AntiVirus
We have removed for now the option to access the store without logging into eGate, as we have not vetted all of these apps for IABs.
There is also a new button where you can see our work in progress Messaging app. It’s far from feature complete, but I thought I would show you anyway.
There is also a new button on the Set Device Owner screen, if your device is rooted, to use root to set eGate as device owner.
I think I will remove Termux from the next version. Most normal people don’t have a use for it anyway. The next version will also have a setting to switch whether or not the app store lists apps with IABs. If the device has a packet filter, like some devices I’m selling to certain markets, then IABs don’t matter as much. We have a IAB detection tool that monitors each app for for IABs, so it should be a pretty airtight system.
Any way you can implement a way to block IAB’s not using accessibility for all the Qin users out there?
Even with the external filter I find it to be really not reliable.
i have the super of a qin that was updated to 1.1.8 maybe they fixed that bug. the problem is that on that version adb is somewhat blocked. but when i have time ill test on it. pm me if anybody wants the super
it was from a qin that i had just gotten locked bootloader and ota updates were still working so i upgraded to 1.1.8 and pulled the super using mtkclient.
