That is because it was on us mobile which כמעט never drops service to bad imei’s once active.
Also Verizon IMEI is usually good for AT&t also.

can i change the imei on the qin to match a previous phone that was working on xfinity for example
Yes, use sn write tool, with a pc with mediatek drivers already installed.
Push top right button while phone is off connect then with usb while flashing in brom mode.
i know i can modify the imei but will that make xfinity start working because now when i put in the xfinity sim if works for a minut or two and than stops which sounds like an imei issue
Not a imei issue at all , CDMA-less isnt active.
Call Xfinity tell them to turn on “CDMA-less provisioning” feature #83856.

it depends i think once i got some mobile data when i loaded an app
it shows bars for that 1 or 2 miniutes
All signs of the fact the CDMA-less isnt active, call your provider tell them to turn it on the issue should then be resolved, many people went through the same issue as you with Verizon and mvnos, and it was fixed after CDMA-less feature #83856 is turned on.
I’m on US Mobile with Tmobile - havving issues with the service. Seems to go in and out. Some places i’ll have 5 bars and in brooklyn 0.
Your have the correct APN from us mobile?
It has to be added manually.
does anyone have a rom for the qin f21 pro that works well with google services because the one from xda is spotty like all the google apps work but when other apps try to acsess gservices it says i dont have google services installed

this didn’t wor k- still showing 0 bars of services downstate.
They both have play services fully working.
Not all ROMs are posted here due to forum restrictions.
