I had a little different situation, I bought a cheap car, so I just popped out the bottom cover and let them hang :slight_smile:

Windows? I dunno what drivers it needs. Linux was plug and play.

Check up the chip I guess

Also, if it has two ports, try the other one, and connect to the laptop and start mtkclient before starting the car.

Tried your mx Android tools, didn’t work

There was no root preinstalled and build number didn’t work even though it said “your now a developer”
How do I find the chip number? The settings they put in doesn’t have it, tried hidden settings to open the androids settings but don’t know what it would be under

Try this

Chances are ro.secure=0 and debuggable

Enable dev options, make a hotspot and connect to the car then

adb connect headunitIP:5555

Is that doesn’t work, plug in a phone and start android auto (still have hotspot connected)

adb connect headunitIP:5277 (or 5037? Don't remember)

after pressing build number it says developer options is enabled however afterwords i go to hidden setting > developer settings and it says its not enabled

Also, you mentioned it wasn’t pre rooted. You don’t know that until you have an adb connection and run su.
