Until recently I didn’t use the TCL as my primary phone so the laggy things about it didn’t really bother me.
If anyone can share ideas or apps (that they have the right to share) that can help me, please comment below.
The only real issue i have is the Call log if anyone has a fix for it and i use Gmessages

I use fx file manager due to the default one being terrible. Your able to install apks from it. I also installed a music player so can play files from the file manager because without it once you leave the file manager it turns off. I also have a permission manager to grante any permissions needed.

@mufandchush what do you use for the call log?
I do not use recent calls because of it. I’m sure if someone has time they could they test out ones from other phones and ones in the play store and one would work.
It takes a few seconds for the call to come on the screen when the phone rings. it takes a few seconds after ansering a call for the screen to register it. It takes a few seconds when dialing for the numbers to show up on the screen.
the whole phone app is bad did anyone try the dialer that @NotABird posted for the qin on the tcl?
Sounds like the TCL. If you have stuff that take up ram deleting would help

I forgot to mention that I do have play services on it (with a litegapps magisk module). This may contribute to the slowness of the phone. I am not ready to give it up being that I use it.
What I do is use an app manager to disable the store and services and enable when needed though it may effect apps that use play services. I plan on getting microg running, not using the method posted somewhere on this site which bricked a guys phone. Right now I don’t have time its in middle of zman and I’m learning a really hard sugya. But one day.

My phone is currently running on software version KEEZ. What would I gain updating to a later version? Is it worth unrooting and then rooting again?
So I disable the play store which does not effect play services at all. Disabling play services though effects play services and since I use it on a day to day basis I cant disable it.
Wont help but it would be worth updating ask @FliphoneBochur how to update through an update package it will fix your calendar
